The Antichrist will be a false messiah who glorifies man instead of God
Based on a statement made by Pope Benedict XVI suggesting that world peace and the triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary may take place 100 years after the 1917 approved apparitions at Fatima, Portugal, a Catholic priest from Texas is projecting that a 2017 global peace experience will be preceded by the predicted three and half years of Antichrist rule which would start in perhaps mid-2013.
“In a homily on May 13, 2010 the Pope, before a half a million of the faithful, expressed a wish that was actually quite spectacular when he said: ‘May the seven years which separates us from the centenary (of the apparitions 1917 – 2017) hasten the fulfillment of the prophecy of the triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, to the glory of the Most Holy Trinity,’” the priest quoted.
“Now, the ‘triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary’ will not occur until the beginning of the ‘Era of Peace’ predicted by Our lady at Fatima.
“However, we know that before the triumph of Our Lady, there must first come the Reign of the Antichrist for three and a half years, as has been prophesied by the Prophet Daniel 12:7 ‘It should be for a year, two years, and a half-year: when the power of the destroyer of the holy people was brought to an end.’”
The priest then performed the simple calculation that the 3 1/2 years of Antichrist tribulation subtracted from the year of triumph, 2017, equals a point in time identified as mid-2013 which may be the beginning of the 42-month period of spiritual darkness and global terror.
The Texas priest has some interesting insight regarding the coming of Christ.
“The Pope also added: ‘Whereas people had previously spoken only of a twofold coming of Christ – one in Bethlehem and again at the end of the world – Saint Bernard of Clairvau(x) spoke also of an intermediate coming, thanks to which Christ periodically renews His intervention in history.’
“So we may conclude that the risen Christ may well return for the Era of Peace as the true Prince of Peace, together with His glorified Queen Mother, the Queen of Peace,” the priest concluded.
The Catechism of the Catholic Church foresees two important characteristics of the Antichrist (1) he will be a false messiah and (2) his message will be a false messianism replacing worship of God with worship of man.
“The persecution (of the Church) that accompanies her pilgrimage on earth will unveil the ‘mystery of iniquity’ in the form of a religious deception offering men an apparent solution to their problems at the price of apostacy from the truth.
“The supreme religious deception is that of the Antichrist, a pseudo-messianism by which man glorifies himself in place of God and of his Messiah come in the flesh,” Catechism of the Catholic Church, message 675.
Apparently, we are in the final preparations of the grand opening of this much anticipated cosmic drama. The curtain could go up as early as mid-2013. The main character, a messiah to some and a destroyer to others, will allegedly be on stage for three and a half years giving a performance so reprehensible that he will be condemned to hell forever.
Then, the Queen of Peace along with her Son, the Prince of Peace, will draw down the final curtain on this Greek and rest of mankind tragedy writing a new script revealing the predestined role of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in human events and ushering in a New Earth, a New Heaven and a New Jerusalem.

Here are some interesting facts I've encountered with regard to the Era of Peace, Fatima, and the Antichrist. The first draws parallels between the institution of Planned Parenthood by Maragaret Sanger, Fatima and the prophetic dream of Pope Leo XIII on October 13th 1884, which was 33 years to the day before the Miracle of Fatima.
Sanger's mother was a devout Catholic who died after having 11 children. Her father was an atheist, and also advocate of woman's suffrage. Sanger opened the first birth-control clinic on October 16th, 1916 which was almost a year to the day before the Miracle of the Sun at Fatima on Oct 13th, 1917, which essentially means the last Fatima apparition coincided with the dates of completion of the clinic the prior year. The first apparitions of Fatima were of angels in the same year the clinic was opened, 1916, one of which was in October 1916 – so it is possible the angels first appeared on the date Planned Parenthood opened. In this case, the 100 years may arguably end in 1916, not 1917.
These dates could mark the beginning of the great (final) battle between the Woman and the Serpent and is the first mile marker in the 100 year reign God granted to Satan as seen in the vision with the Pope Leo XIII on October 13th 1884.
The beginning of the Protestant revolt was October 31, 1517 which is the beginning of the 5th period of the Church which ends with the Era of Peace promised by Mary at Fatima. So, essentially October is very clearly an important month with respect to these eras, the Great Battle, and the beginning of the battle between the Culture of Death and the Culture of Life.
The fifth period of the Church, according to Venerable Bartholomew Holzhauser (1613-1658), began in 1517 at the beginning of the Protestant revolt, and will last until the time of the Great Chastisement and the beginning of the Period of Peace (the Peace of Fatima) and the triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. The sixth period of the Church, the Period of Peace, according to Venerable Hozhauser, will last until the coming of AntiChrist and the end of the world, which is the seventh period of the Church." In this scenario, the Antichrist follow the Era of Peace.
I once heard a talk by a Catholic Theologian who also places events in this order. If I recall correct, he says that the Tribulation will be divided into 2 parts by the Era of Peace, which will be 25 years long, after which the AC will come and the Great Chastisement from God. There apparently are 2 schools of thought in Catholic circles: one places the Antichrist after the Era of Peace and the other theorizes that the AC will preceed the Era of Peace.
A good and perspicacious analysis of possible future events but let us never forget that Jesus said that HE WOULD COME BACK LIKE A THIEF IN THE NIGHT…….G.T.

These are bold statements that are being made. And of course, no one knows the day or hour. But, are you not willing to tell the readers who "a Catholic priest from Texas" might be?
I think that these predictions are in line with what is written in the book
titled Fatima La Salette and the Antichrist.
In this book all the unfolding events are described in detail.
The antichrist will not come before the era of piece. Everyone should read Desmond Birch's book _Trial, Tribulation and Triumph_ which clearly demonstrates that the era of piece will come before the antichrist. Birch assembles a preponderance of evidence from the fathers and doctors of the Church, and numerous approved private revelations and prophecies. Anyone who is interested in learning what sacred tradition contains with respect to the end times and the anti-Christ should read this book.
Soon after the beginning of Mr. Obama's second term. Hmmm.
