Because a major war is brewing in the Middle East between Israel and its Arab state neighbors, this Catholic journalist is paying close attention to how the United States might be dragged into this conflict along with young Catholic men and women who would fight this war,  presumably on the side of Israel.

Hispanic Catholics from Texas, Arizona and California would help fight this war.

Cowboy Catholics from Montana, Wyoming and ranches everywhere would help fight this war.

Coal-dust-in-the-lung Catholics from mining towns in West Virginia, Pennsylvania and wherever there's a commercial hole in the ground would help fight this war.

Catholic blood could flow in a region where there are virtually no Catholics.

So, there better be a damn good reason why Catholics should fight this fight.

The mainstream media, even the Catholic media, the powerful Jewish lobby, evangelical Christians, and especially Catholic TV commentators like Fox's Sean Hannity are pasting together a war of words scenario that could ultimately splash Catholic blood all over non-Catholic soil.

"How could this be happening?" one should ask.

In one of the best interviews in 2010  an Iranian journalist, Kourosh Ziabari, asked seven penetrating questions of British journalist, Alan Hart, a Middle East affairs expert who was a close friend of both Israeli Prime Minister Golda Meir and Palestinian President Yasser Arafat.

Following is a summary of four of the seven, sometimes politically incorrect, questions and answers ...

(1)   Kourosh Ziabari:  Are American presidents frightened of Israel?  (part of a larger question)

Alan Hart: "Let's start with Reality Number One.  There are two sets of rules for the behavior of nations, one for all the countries of the world minus Israel, the other exclusively for Israel.  This double-standard is the mother and father of Arab and other Muslim hurt, humiliation and anger.  Put another way, this double standard is the best recruiting sergeant for violent Islamic fundamentalism."

..."Eisenhower was the first and last American president to contain Zionism."

(2)   KZ:   Will President Obama cave in to the Israel agenda like former U.S. presidents?  (a summary of a larger, more detailed question)

AH:   "About President Obama let me first of all say this.  I do not believe as many of his anti-Zionist critics do that he came into office as a Zionist stooge, programmed to do Zionism's bidding.  If that was the case, why would he have challenged Netanyahu and the Zionist lobby over the settlements and set himself up to be humilated?

"My view is that Obama meant well but was too naive and inexperienced for the job and therefore bound to become a prisioner of the Zionist lobby.

"I also think it is impossible for any new, first term president to be completely aware of the full extent of the Zionist's lobby's stranglehold on Congress until he is in the Oval Office trying to get things done."

(3)   KZ:   Can there be peace between the Arab states and Israel? (another summarized question)

AH:   (Hart says "no" and reveals how BOTH the Arab states and Israel hoped for the same conclusion)

"When the Palestine file was closed by Israel's 1948 victory on the battlefield and the armistice agreements, the divided and impotent Arab regimes secretly shared the same hope as the Zionists and the major powers.

"It was that the file would remain closed for ever.

"The Palestinians were supposed to accept their lot as the sacrificial lamb on the altar of political expediency.

"Nor is there any mystery about why the Arab regimes were at one with the Zionists and the major powers in hoping that there would never be a regeneration of Palestinian nationalism.

"They all knew that if there was, there would one day have to be a confrontation with Zionism; and nobody wanted that."

(4)   KZ:   Was Israel behind or implicated in the 9/11 attacks?  (actually this was question # 5 and it is the last one that we will report)  Click here for the entire interview.

AH:   "In my view the starting point for any serious and honest discussion of 9/11 has to be this question: Did the impact of the planes and the heat of their burning fuel bring the Twin Towers down?

"If the answer is 'Yes', there's no need for conspiracy theories.

"If the answer is 'NO', the speculative question has to be -- Who did it and how and why?

"My answer is 'NO'.

"In my analysis there's enough evidence -- visual, technical and scientific, and from eye-witnesses including fire fighters -- to invite the conclusion that the Twin Towers, like Building Seven, were pre-wired for controlled demolition with nanothermite, the highest-tech military explosive."

Journalist Alan Hart goes on to explore various scenarios that may have taken place on 9/11.

For some crazy reason in this global culture, Muslims have an identity, Jews have an identity, but one billion Catholics  don't have an identity other than being accused of harboring pedophile priests and being dull, expedient soldiers ready and eager to spill their patriotism-charged blood over any adversary of the month for the power elite, the "Masters of the Universe" whose 10,000-year master plan calls for "perpetual war for perpetual peace."

One day some heroic Catholic will wake up the sleeping giant of Catholicism and say "Catholics are a peace and justice people.  You so-called Masters of the Universe who foment and finance death and destruction will simply have to find someone else to fight your perpetual wars."

In conclusion the South Coast Report, also called the Catholic Investigative Journal, reports and investigates stories, and in this case, an interview between two respected journalists dealing with points of view generally not reported in mainstream media, but definitely affecting Catholic interests and even Catholic lives.

The Catholic Church's history has not been one of peace and justice. (That was historically for the Quakers.)
